The Big Wave: How We Can All Come Together to Save Our Beaches.


ABOUT THE SPEAKER

  • Al Hadeed is the County Attorney for Flagler County, Florida, and has served in this role for more than 25 years.  He is a graduate of the University of Florida, Fredric G. Levin College of Law and obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia.

  • Mr. Hadeed is proactive in all legal issues presented for consideration by the Board of County Commissioners, such as ordinances, resolutions, contracts, bidding, and interlocal agreements to ensure county compliance with all federal and state regulations. As part of his responsibilities and with widespread community support, Mr. Hadeed secured the easements for the Army Corps renourishment project in Flagler Beach. 
  • Mr. Hadeed has been principally involved in the various projects and initiatives to repair and protect Flagler County’s coastline while aiding other local governments in their similar pursuits.  He serves on the Board of Directors of the Florida Association of County Attorneys and Chairs its Finance and Tax Committee.  He has frequently lectured on such topics as growth management, greenway corridor development, scenic highway protection, historic preservation, ethics, and land use law.  He has served on a variety of boards and associations related to these topic areas, either as a member or as counsel.
