Together with 15 other Tiger Bay Clubs across the state, Flagler Tiger Bay Club will present “Insiders' Look at Florida Politics,” a free event featuring three of Florida’s leading political strategists. 

The panel discussion features former Congressman David Jolly, who left the Republican party in 2018 and can often be seen as a policy and politics analyst on MSNBC and CNN; Director of Florida House Campaigns for the Republican Party of Florida Frank Terraferma, who has over two decades of experience in running legislative races; and Steven Schale, a Florida-based Democratic strategist and political, communications, and government relations consultant.

  • Former Congressman David Jolly (davidjolly.com), who left the Republican party in 2018 can often be seen as a policy and politics analyst on MSNBC and CNN, including regular appearances on The 11th Hour with Brian Williams, Hardball with Chris Matthews, CNN Tonight with Don Lemon, The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell, Deadline White House with Nicolle Wallace, All In with Chris Hayes, and many others. Jolly has also appeared on HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher and regularly on PoliticKing with Larry King. His work has been published in Time, Roll Call, the Washington Post, CNN.com, NewsMax, the Washington Times, and the Tampa Bay Times. Jolly also served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of South Florida and is currently authoring his first book.
  • Director of Florida House Campaigns for the Republican Party of Florida Campaigns Frank Terraferma, who has over two decades of experience in running legislative races, having served in this same capacity from 1997-2004 and again from 2011-2015. He also led the House Majority Office as Staff Director from 2004-2006. He was part of the 1996 team that flipped the Florida House to Republican for the first time in over 100 years. Terraferma continued his work with Florida House Republicans growing the two-seat majority of 1996 to a 50-seat majority by 2005. In addition to working for Florida House Republicans, Terraferma has provided polling and consulting services for numerous state and federal candidates, associations, and political committees. Between 2017 - 2020, Terraferma was also the Executive Director of the Idaho Republican Party and has been an adjunct instructor of political science at Tallahassee Community College.
  • Steven Schale (steveschale.com) is a Florida-based political, communications, and government relations strategist. In 2008, he directed the Obama/Biden campaign in Florida, leading the largest political operation in Florida history to a win for President Obama, and in 2012 served as a Senior Advisor to the re-election. Earlier in his career, Schale ran the Florida Democratic Party’s House Democratic Caucus when Florida Democrats picked off nine Republican seats in the state House. It was the party’s biggest gain in over forty years. In 2016, Schale served as the primary national spokesperson for the Draft Joe Biden campaign. In the latest cycle, Schale ran a pro-Biden SuperPAC, Unite the Country, founded in October 2019 to support the candidacy of Joe Biden. In addition, he provides strategic advice to several clients, including Walt Disney World, AT&T, State Farm, the Florida Hospital Association, and in the past has worked for the Florida Justice Association, as well as the craft beer industry.
